About Me
I began creating jewelry roughly ten years ago during a time of illness, when making things became a lifeline. What started as a personal outlet grew into a practice of curiosity, healing, and play. Jewelry came first and I began creating just for myself. I began gifting pieces to others, and seeing people wear my designs brought me great joy.

Over time, I expanded into painting, mixed media, and handmade greeting cards. I have a particular love for wire; each piece feels like a creative puzzle waiting to be shaped. You will often find wire woven into my jewelry and mixed media paintings on canvas.

At Karen Joy Artworks, I create every piece by hand and also design the branding, manage the marketing, and build and maintain the website. Every part of this business is an extension of my creative process. Every item you see here is handcrafted by me with care—whether it’s jewelry, mixed media or a greeting card. Enjoy!

Art Philosophy

Through Karen Joy Artworks, I explore beauty and imperfection in my paintings and mixed media. Art has helped teach me to embrace the mistakes of the unintended.  While painting, I often enjoy accentuating and texturing mistakes. There is beauty in the layers and imperfections of life, in our stories and in the handmade. Why cover it up when art isn’t about perfection; it’s about embracing both the pain and the happiness of life. Letting go of perfections and fears we can surely learn to live more creatively and to grow. Art is a way to connect with others and to invite others to do the same.

About My Jewelry  Designs 

I create one-of-a-kind artful jewelry with a distinctive, independent style—pieces that often stand apart from mainstream trends. My necklaces, earrings, and pins are crafted with: semiprecious stones and gemstones, mixed metal wire, eclectic and repurposed materials to create bold one of a kind statement pieces to small pendant designs.  Open to custom design requests—please inquire.

Greeting Cards
Cards are created from paintings and mixed media artwork. Many cards are quirky, fun and random although I do have some holiday greeting cards available. I love telling stories with my cards.— many even have a writing on the back that shares a little about the artwork or the inspiration behind it. Every card is a small piece of artwork meant to bring a smile and possibly a connection.

 
Community Connection

Beaumont Productions Greeting Cards for a good cause gives back tio the community—20% of purchase goes to a local animal rescue . The log of funds raised is kept in my Studio.
